Composting Strategies for Colleges and Universities
Universities and colleges generate wasted food from many sources: dining commons, on-campus restaurants, residence halls, sporting venues, and university events. By reducing food sent to landfills or incinerators, schools can save money and reduce their environmental impact. This webinar will hopefully serve to energize students and faculty to take action to reduce or eliminate food waste on campuses throughout the U.S.

Finding Safer Products with EPA’s Safer Choice Label
This session was provided for regional technical assistance providers (TAPs) and includes a facilitated exchange on how TAPs can be a conduit to promote Safer Choice and serve as a resource for program participants. Products with the Safer Choice label help consumers and commercial buyers identify and select products with safer chemical ingredients, without sacrificing quality or performance. Safer Choice provides resources for manufacturers to get products labeled, understanding the Safer Choice standard and criteria, and finding Safer Choices to use in your community.

Qlik Sense Data Visualization Demo – Food Manufacturing
The ESRC hosted a joint EPA Region 3 & 4 State P2 conference call held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. EPA and Abt Associates provided a demonstration and training on how to use the Qlik Sense data visualization tool to explore information about TRI and pollution prevention for the Food Manufacturing sector. The use of data visualization is aimed at maximizing P2 efforts associated with the EPA National Emphasis Area on Food Manufacturing.
