There’s a new excitement in manufacturing across the Commonwealth! Innovative technology and fresh ideas are pushing Kentucky’s number one economic driver to new levels of production and community engagement.

You may be familiar with the Kentucky Association of Manufacturer’s (KAM) Energy Conferences, which expanded in 2017 to a Manufacturing Conference. This year, they have updated their conference with a new name and an expanded charter! The “State of Manufacturing Conference” builds on previous events, featuring in-depth looks at trends, strategies and best practices to help Kentucky manufacturers become more competitive and more profitable. Also for the first time, certifications are being offered in two areas, Lean 101 and GMS 201 (Growth Management System).

WHAT IS THE THEME FOR 2018?
Make It Here is the theme of this year’s conference. One of KAM’s goals is to show students they can make it here, in Kentucky and in manufacturing. Another goal is to let manufacturers all over the world know they can make their products here and their company will thrive in the Commonwealth.
